Abrasive Wheels - Powered Tools
Injuries and fatalities are still common because workers do not realise the hazards created when using a powered tool. This course addresses the lack of awareness and gives some practical advice on what to do to achieve a safe workplace. Also identifies grinding wheel and demonstrates the correct method of fitting.

Asbestos Awareness
A comprehensive training course run by an experienced professional, who will deliver practical and relevant solutions to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, including the latest amendments to the Code of Practice HSG 264. CDM Revision & Application
The CDM 2015 Regulations were placed on the statute to replace a set of regulations that were not working as they should. The introduction of the planning element and the changes in project responsibilities are explained. Is your assessment suitable and sufficient? Planning the task requires competence. This half day course is designed to work through the 5 steps of risk assessments. Method statements are a good site planning tool when used correctly. The course describes your resources, and the requirements of the rescue plan and emergency actions required in a method statement. We will discuss the importance of well managed, site organisation. Method statements and risk assessments - their legal standing.

The Role & Duties of a Fire Warden
This course is designed to increase the awareness of the persons nominated to carry out the duties of Fire Warden. The course will describe the fire triangle, principles and sources of ignition and means of detection. Fire procedures, actions and emergency evacuation, the correct types of fire extinguishers, inspection and housekeeping will be highlighted. The course will discuss the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire risk assessment and means of escape and emergency lighting.

Work at Height (My Responsibilities)
A course designed for the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and Estimator. This short course will cover the details of the Work at Height Regulations, as required in every workplace and on every building site, as well as:

EFAW - £67.00 per delegate
This is a 1 day course which meets the requirements of a small construction site and ensures competence in life saving skills. The course includes basic knowledge, resuscitation, anaphylaxis, defibrillator use and bleeding control.
CSCS / IOSH Working Safely Course
If you work in a labouring occupation you can apply for the labourer card (Green card). You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following:
. QCF/SCQF Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
. or One Day Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness course
. or IOSH Working Safely course
You must also pass the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years prior to applying for a new card.
EBSG provide the IOSH Working Safely course.
The course describes your responsibilities, identifies hazards and risk. Provides basic knowledge to control hazards, discusses health and safety performance and how improvement is made. Also includes a module on environmental awareness.
The course is vital for the new employee and is a requirement under the CSCS scheme.
